    Description

Presented is a fine French silver small cup. This piece dates to mid 1800s. The cup is made from French first standard silver, which has a purity of 950. It is worth noting that this is a higher purity than sterling, which is 925. The sides of the cup are beautifully hand engraved with intricate floral designs. Opposite the handle is a monogram of 'B'.
This piece is in great overall condition. The details of the engraved designs are nice and crisp. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no cracks, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
The cup is hallmarked in two places with the French first standard Minerva head mark for 950 purity silver.
The cup measures about 3 3/4 inches from handle to side. The cup is about 1 1/2 inches tall.
The cup weighs 75.7 grams or 2.7 regular ounces.
