    ANTIQUE FRENCH 950 SILVER FIDDLE & THREAD PATTERN  12 PC FLATWARE SET BY GUILLAME CLEMENT,
    JEAN-BAPTISTE ANDRIEU AND "JN"
    The total weight is 904 grams. The set bears two monograms: CHARPENTIER D and J CHARPENTIER P. It is a vintage set and
    need professional polishing.
    FLATWARE GROUP# 1
    Set of 5 (two silver table spoons and three table forks) was made by French silversmith Guillame Clément. (Originally
    registered in 1820 at 11 rue des Orfèvres, Paris. In 1838 Clément registered a second mark which was used until 1842).
    STAMPED: The Michelangelo (Vieillard) 1st title, 1819-1838, Paris large objects 950/1000 fineness. Guarantee mark (the
    woman head) large objects, Paris 1819-1838. Silversmith hallmark: “GC” separated by a key.
    Spoons measures 8 1/4" in length (the bowl measures 3" X 1 3/4”). Forks measures 8" in length.
    CONDITION: The set is in good antique condition, shows appropriate signs of age consisting of light scratching and
    tarnish. The forks tips are slightly bent and the outer tines are shorter than the two inside tines.
    FLATWARE GROUP# 2
    Set of 6 (two silver table spoons and four table forks) by Jean-Baptiste Andrieu (active 7th Nov 1820 – 14th Nov 1830)
    24 Place Dauphine, Paris, c. 1820-1830.
    STAMPED: The Michelangelo (Vieillard) 1st title, 1819-1838, Paris large objects 950/1000 fineness. Guarantee mark (the
    woman head) large objects, Paris 1819-1838. Silversmith hallmark: “JBA” (with a rose and a star above).
    Spoons measures 8 1/8" in length (the bowl measures 2 3/4" X 1 5/8”). Forks measures 7 3/4" in length.
    CONDITION: some scratches, minor dents, surface ware. The bowls of the spoons are bent. The forks tips are slightly bent
    and the outer tines are shorter than the two inside tines.
    THE TABLE SPOON:
    STAMPED: Rooster on the right is the 950 silver standard mark for Paris 1798-1809 and the head in an oval reserve is the
    guarantee mark for Paris for the same period. Silversmith hallmark: “JN” (?).
    Spoon measures 7 3/4" in length (the bowl measures 2 5/8" X 1 3/4”).
    CONDITION: The silver is significant bent on the spoon bowl. There are some dents, surface scratches.
