This mostly works and was my daily user until last year, but a few keys were giving me trouble. I don't remember now, but it was likely 2 or three of the following, Y, I, and N, because I have to push them often to start tests on my Synclavier machines (I'm never typing anything, just making selections). My recollection was that I could ALWAYS get them to work with some pressure and effort, but I've got dozens of keyboards, at least, so when time permitted, I just grabbed another one (an Apple Design M2980, I've had three dozen of those, at least, and I'm normally using the PPC 7500 so the China made version works, where it doesn't work on a lot of older Macs like Quadras, you have to use the Mexico or Thailand versions) from the warehouse to keep on doing my work, so I'll leave it to someone else to dismantle and clean it out and try to fix those switches by cleaning.
Also note that one of the little flippers on the bottom to raise the back end is missing. I didn't notice that until I was looking at these photos, because I've never used those on any keyboard.
The Apple Keyboard II M0487 came out in 1990 and was shipped with various Macs, such as the Macintosh Classic and Macintosh LC. I always liked it because it's very compact and durable.
This keyboard will also work with anything that has an ADB (Apple Desktop Bus) port (Power Mac 7100, 7200, 7300, 7500, 7600, 8100, 8500, 8600, 9600, any type of Mac II,  and many,  many more Macs with ADB). It will not work by connecting to a USB port.
Aside from the problems noted above, this keyboard is in very good condition. It has a power switch to power on your Mac from the keyboard, and two ADB ports to connect your mouse and Mac to.
I'm including a free ADB coiled cord as shown in the photos.
I've had this almost 20 years, I don't remember where it came from. Maybe a lab at a UC school.
This will be safely packed for shipment.
Free local pickup in the Los Feliz district of L.A. is okay if you can work around my busy schedule.
Please see my other listings for SCSI drive enclosures and cables that might be of interest. I've got more SCSI than ANYONE, and I've only listed about 10% of it so far.
