EDELWEISS Art NOUVEAU Silver Plate Chatelaine Slide Mirror Pendant Locket Floral

ABOUT:
Nice size Victorian silver plate chatelaine slide mirror, with beautiful Art Nouveau designs of Edelweiss flowers and leaves.  This motif always makes me think of the Sound of Music, although I acquired this in France.  Nice quality beveled mirror inside. It could be worn as a pendant, but would also make a good purse mirror.  It could also be used as a locket with a photo inserted behind the rim of the opposite side of the mirror. It has a latch on the bottom to keep the cover nested into the back cover.  It is decorated ornately on both sides.
Lovely, period appropriate Victorian design would make a neat collectible item that can be used on a daily basis - an antique gift for yourself or a friend!
NO MONOGRAMS on the piece.

CONDITION NOTES:
In estate condition considering age and has been hand polished and cleaned up nicely.  The riveted hinge is nice and tight and slides open and closed nicely.  Some faint all over surface scratches from use and polish.  Some stubborn tarnish and wear to the silver-plate where the warmer underlying brass shows.  Definitely an antique patina.  Like all my estate items -  please note that while the piece is sturdy and has many years of use left, it is not in mint condition.
MEASUREMENTS:
The mirror pendant measures about 2 1/4 inches tall. About 1 1/2 inches wide.
