    Fine Puiforcat French Sterling Silver 950/1000 Sauce / Gravy Boat w/ Tray
    This is a beautiful sauce boat made in France circa 1890 by the famous silversmith Emile Puiforcat (Paris). The silverwork is in excellent antique condition as pictured. It is fully hallmarked at the bottom and at the bowl ‘Minerva Head 1’ for high standard silver ‘950/1000’ (highest French Silver standard),
    ‘PUIFORCAT’
    , lozenge with his mark ‘E (penknife) P’, (it is also Minerva Head at the rim with ‘Bigorne’ to the reverse) and
    ‘DARLAY BORDEAUX’
    (important jeweler and silversmith). It is monogrammed to both sides of the tray ‘MD’…Attractive shape with scalloped rim. It measures 10 ½” long, 6 7/8” wide and 2 9/16” high, weight: 27.60 or 783 grams
