Description
OmniKey 101 keyboard - XT DIN mechanical "clicky" keys!OK, this is a pretty cool keyboard. Not only does it have very comfortable, responsive and satisfying mechanical "clicky" keys, it's highly customizeable to support a variety of different machines. There are dip switches under a small front panel, allowing the user to select from the following modes:
•
PC, XT or 100% compatible
• Northgate, AT, PS/2 (except PS/2 model 25), and 100% compatible
• Tandy 1000SX, 1000TX
• ATT WGS, ATT 6300, and 6300 plus
• Amiga 2000 and 2500
• Novell ELS or Novell non-dedicated configuration
• Swapping the location of CAPS LOCK, CTRL, and ALT key functions
• Swapping the BACKSLASH (\) and ASTERISK (*) keys
• Setting the keyboard for Normal or Dvorak layout
• Setting the CTRL, ALT, and SHIFT keys for Normal or "Sticky Keys" operation
I can provide you with a link to the keyboard manual in PDF format, if you need it. It clearly explains all the dip switch positions, as well as everything else you'll need to know about the keyboard.
But anyway! This keyboard has been recently tested and is in fully working order. I used it for a time with an IBM XT 5160, and it's one of my all-time favorite keyboards. However as I no longer own any XT-class machines, you now have the chance to buy this versatile keyboard; I'm sure you'll be as impressed with it as I was.
The keyboard is in great condition especially considering its age; all the keycaps are present, and they all work fine. There's no "sticking" keys, no keys that are non-functional, etc. It's ready to be hooked in to your favorite oldie PC and used.

* All of my items are sold "as-is," mostly due to their age.
* Owing to the overblown kung-flu pandemonium, the postal service may take their sweet time getting this delivered to you.
* Whenever someone buys one of my items, I do a little happy dance: usually set to disco (naturally).
