Pair Antique French Sterling Silver Cranberry Cherub Master Open Salts w Spoons

Description

A Magnificent pair of Sterling Silver Repousse French Cranberry Master open salts. The cranberry glass inserts are hand blown. The silver salts have a beautiful open work featuring six seated cherubs holding flowers in their hands interspersed with scrollwork and foliate motif. Standing on Six foliate feet.
Marked on the base with a makers mark of VV under a bird in a diamond cartouche.
A pair of matching bright cut salt spoons with a touch mark on the top side.
Very good condition with the exception of a tiny rim chip on one of the cranberry glass inserts, pictured. Anything else you see is just light reflection. Great patina.
Measures approximately, 3” x 2 ¼” x 2 1/4” tall
French, circa 1890.
